Christmas is coming!

Our family are Buddhist, so I don’t give you Christmas presents.
Yes, I don’t have anything for your presents at all.
Regardless of Halloween, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, we developers
have to make a final push.

But, I feel sorry about that. I upload the movie which the player is walking
around fields in current developing version.

Developing stage is in the homestretch.
How much can we make an improvement in the time we have left?
I wish Santa Claus would give us completed completed product.

I noticed you guys added a ledge on the cliffside ladder in the overworld. I wonder what it’s there for…?

I’m loving the new enemy designs, but how come you create simple plain texture sprites for some and use the old sprites for others? Case in point the lizard that was breathing fire was a single green color with no shading or texture whatsoever, but the Hadoken Turtles were the classic sprite from the PC version.

So how many new weapons and subweapons are there going to be total?

I see the puzzle in the Giant’s mausoleum is diffrent now, it looks amazing, also it seems that there is a little more time for that wall kick in the inferno cavern, I’m glad for that those two parts are so frustrating in the original.

My only problem is with the big enemies like Buer and Algol look really stiff and doesnt have any texture, probably that’s because the game it’s still in developement so I’m not really worried about it.

I can’t wait for the realease.

Seeing the numbers and the gauges move is a welcoming sight.

I’m sure you can feel the frustration of the waiting public, but I honestly believe they would rather have a quality game with a late release date that a rushed game released on the initial release date.

The music in this video is from the arranged soundtrack, which to the best of my knowledge won’t be the soundtrack of the final WiiWare game. That’s the impression I got from the earlier post about music, anyway.

And once again, no, the MSX-style music not only WILL not, but CAN not be included. Though this question has already been asked and answered several times already, I’m sure this isn’t the last time it will be asked.

Seriously, guys, read the older entries and marvel at how many questions they answer.

Actually, there was an AST of La Mulana brought up. I think there’s a database website of it that still houses them. In any case, the music from these trailers was taken from there. We still have yet to hear the new chiptune music.

I think that that’s actually the MIDI remixed version from the original… it does sound a little different from what I remember but then I usually used the MSX-style music most of the time anyway.

    Ross:

I read that there won’t be an option for either, all the music will be entirely brand new (especially since some songs like the ‘spring in the sky’ music nicked samples from other MSX games, so those songs can’t exactly stay unchanged for the wiiware release.

Is that music new? I think I’ve heard them before…

I’m liking the look of the caltrops and chakrams. Did I see that you get the chakrams back after you use them? Or did he pick up something else?

  8. Is there going to be an option to use the original MSX-style music? I like that better than this music…

    Great video though.
