Instruction Manual

It’s in the middle of festival.
Some people might be already over the moon, but still we have some days to go.
We can’t move forward the release date, but we publish a instruction manual.
Be thrilled with reading this.

Actually, we made a strategy guide for WiiWare version in Japanese instead of a instruction manual.
And then, we were trying to translate it into English, but we gave up the plan because the texts are too much to translate.
So, we have to prepare a instruction manual in English.
The instruction manual is like a simplified strategy guide.
We made it close to the original version’s instruction manual.

Making this instruction manual reminded us of that we had worked up from a PC game.

Minimum System Requirements of the game are as follows:

OS: Windows XP(latest service packs) with DX 9.0c
CPU:Intel® Pentium 4 / 2.0GHz
Memory: 1 GB RAM
Graphics: 128 MB VRAM, 3D accelerator compatible w/ DirectX 9.0c
HDD: 500 MB HD space
Sound: Compatible with DirectX 9.0c
DirectX: DirectX 9.0c

Please download instruction manual and checker at here.

I laughed quite a while at Lemeza bumming it in Xelpud’s hut.

Ugh, checker came back with “Maybe Hard.” I think it’s time I seriously looked into getting a new computer.

The manual is great, but it deserves a better translation. The current version has way too many glaring errors.
Could you not get Playism to do the translation for it?

  5. LeRoy Logan says

Sorry, but the download from the alternate link doesn’t work either.
Don’t worry about it any further, I’ll wait for the game’s release.

  6. I don’t mind the “engrish” but some newcomers may be put off by it. It was still very enjoyable to read and I’m looking forward to the release.

I laughed the entire read. I love the comics, they were very funny!

Definitely looking forward to this Friday. :><:

The manual’s translation could use a little more work, but I won’t complain too much. It gets the most important points across, and the artwork is great! Thanks for making this available.

  9. LA-MULANA STAFF says

    Thanks…
Though we had checked the spelling by MS Word, too…

  10. The manual has a lot of typing errors in it… You guys should be more careful about that, even if it’s not an integral part of the game

  11. LA-MULANA STAFF says

Thank you for pointing out our mistakes! You’ve been great help.
All the members of staff are Japanese.
If La-Mulana is a great hit, I hope that we will employ a native English speaker!

I took a look at the instruction manual and the translation still needs a lot of work. You can’t go three pages without hitting some horrible awkward phrasing, like “The number of weights are essential to function the gimmicks of the Ruins.” It should be something simple like “Use weights to activate the mechanisms in the Ruins. It’s like this the whole way through:

“The Ruins is divided into plural areas.”

“Conditions for an ape to serve as people are not only evolution.”

“Undead, a bones is dwelt by the soul.”

Are there *any* native English speakers on the team? Am I going to have to wait for a translation for the translation?

  13. LA-MULANA STAFF says

Because of the cache files, I think.

For some reason, I can’t download the instructions manual. It always stops at 2.7 MB.

  15. Momogirl’s drawings never fail to amuse me.

Thanks for uploading these materials. Now I’m ready to explore the ruins!

  16. LA-MULANA STAFF says

We omitted minigame because of the restriction of MB.
New PC ver. is remastered WiiWare ver. It does not include minigame.
You can look forward to next game.

  17. Strider says

Fantastic, the little drawings on the pages, they remind me the instruction manuals of the old japanese 16 bit games (Mega Drive and SNES)…
I wonder why, you have chosen to remove the little sim-date minigame, located in the legendary tree area…
A problem tied to the limited quantity of MB for publish a game on the Wii Ware (same as the Hell Temple)?

I like the cute system checker girl 🙂

  19. LA-MULANA STAFF says

    Thanks.
We don’t give up releasing WiiWare ver. We will post a blog about it before long.

  20. Parapsyche says

Oh man…it’s getting so close! I’m so excited it’s not even funny!

Can’t wait to play this, guys! If it comes out on WiiWare, I’ll download it there too!

  21. UltraJMan says

Thank you, Nigoro, for this tasty curry!!!

  22. traumafox says

Very interesting! It reminds me very much of 199X game manuals. Full color too! The drawings are cute.

  23. Blechy says

The art in that manual is legitimately awesome!

Also, thanks for all the frequent updates. Keeps the excitement for this week’s release fresh.

Thank you for pointing out our mistakes.
All the members of staff are Japanese.
I hope that we will employ a native English speaker, if La-Mulana is a great hit.
If there are any strange translations, please point out them unreservedly.

  25. Thatnerdguy says

Do you guys have a native English speaker on your staff? There’s a whole bunch of weird grammar errors and the picture in the ‘controls’ section has the wrong keys highlighted.
